Pilot training for Lower Saxony police successfully completed

‘In order to successfully train pilots for their future police service, you need experience, state-of-the-art teaching methods and detailed consultation with police officials so that you can tailor the training to their specific needs,’ explains Dirk Herr, Managing Director of Heli Transair, adding: ‘All of this has come together here and has been a great success.’

Over the past 19 months, three pilots have been trained at the Heli Transair flight school for their future service with the Lower Saxony police force. This was preceded by an intensive selection process, which Heli Transair won.

"With its modular CPL(H) training including ATPL(H) theory, the Heli Transair flight school offered a compact course with a high number of flying hours. Among other things, this was our preferred option and the fact that the school had already trained another state police force in the recent past was decisive for us,‘ says Lars Mauritz from the Hanover Police Helicopter Squadron. ’We would like to thank the flight school team for the constant exchange of information over the last 1 ½ years."

The training also included a ‘Multi Crew Cooperation’ course for successful cooperation between flight crews and ratings on the ‘Cabri G2’ helicopter model and the ‘BELL 206’ turbine helicopter.

With the successful completion of the training for the Lower Saxony Police, the Heli Transair flight school has trained pilots for a police helicopter squadron for the second time in a very short period. Most recently, pilots from the Baden-Württemberg Police successfully completed their training at Heli Transair. The renowned flight school also trains pilots for air rescue, commercial aviation and every other conceivable field.

‘We wish the pilots of the Lower Saxony Police every success in their future missions,’ says Dirk Herr, expressing his delight and gratitude for the successful cooperation.
