New training offer: Multi Crew Cooperation (MCC)

New training offer: Multi Crew Cooperation (MCC)

The well-known flight school of the Egelsbach-based flight service provider Heli Transair is now expanding its range of training courses and is now training pilots with a view to perfect cooperation between cockpit crews.

"The MCC course is a requirement for allowing helicopters to be flown by two persons according to visual flight rules (VFR) or instrument flight rules (IFR). With this course, we are expanding our comprehensive range of training courses, as announced, and further consolidating our leading position," says training manager Jan Veen.

During the theoretical training, which comprises 25 hours of training, the specialised instructors of Heli Transair teach the basics of cooperation for a multi-member crew. According to Veen, the aim is to work through both standard and emergency procedures as a team in the best and most efficient way possible. The practical MCC training takes place in the company's own flight simulator (FNPT-II), where 15 hours of training are required for VFR flights. When used for IFR flights, 20 hours in the simulator are necessary.

"We are constantly pursuing our goal of becoming even better. To this end, we are taking an important step with this new course and will be taking further important steps this year", says a delighted Dirk Herr, the managing partner of Heli Transair.
