New helicopter for flight operations and flight training: Heli Transair relies on EC135
A shiny new addition has recently arrived on the apron of aviation service provider Heli Transair at its Egelsbach site near Frankfurt: an EC135 from Airbus Helicopters. The twin-engine helicopter is regarded worldwide as the benchmark machine for training and professional operations. Thanks to state-of-the-art avionics, powerful engines, and a particularly quiet rotor system, the EC135 offers ideal conditions for transporting passengers and cargo as well as for training, especially in the area of instrument flying. In addition, flight students benefit from the high level of safety equipment and reliability of the model, which is also widely used in police and rescue fleets.
“Anyone who learns on the EC135 today is well equipped for rescue flights, police or VIP missions,” explains Dirk Herr, managing partner of Heli Transair.
In fact, many organizations worldwide use this very model – from intensive care transport to offshore supply. For flight students, this means that they are not only training on a helicopter with high safety features, but also on a type that they will encounter constantly in their professional lives later on. In addition, the Heli Transair flight school has an identical FNPT-II simulator, which means that training in the simulator perfectly complements training in the helicopter.
“With the EC135, we are sending a clear signal: training at the highest level,” says training manager Jan Veen.
The new aircraft marks the start of a large-scale expansion of the Heli Transair fleet, which will grow in the coming months to include Cabri G2, R44, Bell 505, and H125 aircraft.
