Heli Transair expands fleet: Three more Bell 505s ordered

Modernization strengthens operational capability at the Egelsbach, Kiel, and Landshut sites.
Heli Transair, one of Germany's leading helicopter service providers, has ordered three more Bell 505 helicopters at European Rotors. With this investment, the company's Bell 505 fleet grows to a total of five aircraft—the largest 505 fleet in Europe. For Heli Transair, this is another strategic step toward modernizing its operational resources.
The newly ordered helicopters will replace the existing 206 aircraft and will be used in the future for demanding applications such as power line and pipeline inspections, line monitoring, external load flights, and pilot training. With their modern avionics, high efficiency, and wide range of applications, the Bell 505s will contribute significantly to the company's operational performance.
The Egelsbach, Kiel, and Landshut locations will benefit in particular from the fleet expansion, as the new technology and increased operational range will enable them to further expand their operational capabilities. Managing Director Dirk Herr emphasized: “The integration of the Bell 505 into our fleet sets new standards in efficiency, comfort, and future orientation.”
Delivery of the three new helicopters is scheduled for May 2026, and 17 pilots are currently undergoing training for this purpose. With this comprehensive modernization, Heli Transair has succeeded in completely renewing its aging Bell 206 fleet in a short period of time, thereby laying the foundation for even greater safety, comfort, and effectiveness in its operations.
