Great success: Information day at Heli Transair inspires aspiring helicopter pilots
The renowned flight school Heli Transair celebrated an impressive success last Saturday at its headquarters in Egelsbach near Frankfurt: The information day on helicopter pilot training attracted numerous visitors who wanted to find out all about their path to the cockpit – and gained deep insights into one of the most exciting professional worlds in aviation.
The focus was on practical presentations on training paths, requirements, and career opportunities. There was particular interest in future prospects: the demand for qualified helicopter pilots is constantly increasing – so the outlook for young talent is excellent.
Heli Transair offers ideal conditions for this: comprehensive ATPL/IR training, a modern and versatile fleet – from the brand-new Cabri G2 to the proven all-rounder EC135 – and extensive experience in training police and air rescue pilots. Many graduates are also hired directly into the company's own flight operations.
An emotional highlight of the day were the trial flights, during which interested visitors were able to take off themselves and experience the fascination of helicopter flying up close. For many, a dream suddenly became a concrete goal.
In the concluding Q&A session, Susanne Herr answered questions from visitors – in particular about the attractive financing options offered exclusively by Heli Transair, which for many make training possible in the first place.
“We are delighted with the enormous interest and positive response. It shows how much enthusiasm there is for this profession – and how important it is to have sound guidance,” said Dirk Herr, managing partner of Heli Transair.
Further impressions of the information day can be found on Heli Transair's Instagram channel. Due to its great success, the flight school has already announced further information days for 2026. Dates and details will be published in good time.
