Fleet expansion with a new Robinson R44

With great new features and a super-modern cockpit, a new Robinson R44 helicopter joins the fleet of aviation service provider Heli Transair.

"We are all very excited about the new modernised helicopter, which will be used for sightseeing and training flights from now on. The Robinson R44 is not only fast and manoeuvrable, with its four window seats it is an ideal sightseeing helicopter and therefore always popular for our trainee helicopter pilots," says Dirk Herr, managing partner of Heli Transair.

The Robinson R44 is a single-engine, piston-powered helicopter made by the US-based Robinson Helicopter Company and is currently the best-selling civil helicopter in the world.

"The gem brings great new features such as an autopilot, a better and most importantly quieter muffler, two radios, two GPS units, an ADS-B-enabled transponder and an upgraded cockpit. We are now excellently equipped for sightseeing flights at the Egelsbach airfield," says Fabian Puls, Heli Transair's flight operations manager.
