Change in the shareholder structure
The aviation service provider Heli Transair, headquartered in Egelsbach near Frankfurt, now has a new principal shareholder. Christoph Klein, managing director and shareholder of CK Invest GmbH and Kitz-Air GmbH, has acquired 90 percent of the shares, with ten percent remaining with Dirk Herr, who remains managing director and accountable manager of Heli Transair.
Those responsible expect the new majority shareholder to strengthen the company by combining forces, expanding geographical coverage from Kitzbühel to Kiel, expanding business areas and opening up new market segments.
Together, Heli Transair and Kitz-Air have around 20 helicopters of the types ‘Cabri G2’ (Guimbal), ‘R44’ (Robinson), ‘206’ and ‘412 EPX’ (Bell), ‘AS350’ (Airbus), “A109” (Agusta) and ‘W-3 Sokół’ (PZL). The services include:
- Pilot training from private to commercial helicopter pilots,
- Passenger flights during the day, at night and under instrument flight conditions,
- Cargo flights,
- Event flights,
- Sightseeing flights,
- Rope repairs,
- Power and pipeline inspection flights,
- External load flights up to 2.3 tonnes, and
- Firefighting.
Maintenance is also part of the portfolio. Regular checks by the maintenance crews guarantee maximum availability and the highest level of flight safety. The technical department thus forms the backbone of flight operations.
Kitz-Air GmbH was founded in 2012 and is an Austrian aviation company based in Erpfendorf near Kirchdorf/Tyrol. Kitz-Air has been licensed as an aviation company since 2017. The aviation service provider Heli Transair is one of the leading helicopter companies in Germany.
