That was Tannkosh 2010 – we will be back!
Full of anticipation, we headed to Tannheim in Baden-Württemberg on the last weekend in August. Like every year, the Tannkosh fly-in (Europe’s largest pilot meeting) was held there. We participated this year for the first time, and our expectations were not disappointed: At the otherwise peaceful family-run airport, there was a lively atmosphere which was not dampened by mostly cloudy skies. The large number of visitors and aerial sport fans admired various aircrafts and rarities up close, which arrived in Tannheim every few minutes.
Our pilot Hieronymus Sarholz, was on constant duty in order to show our younger and older visitors the EC120 in a personal atmosphere. A helicopter sightseeing flight over the remarkable foothills of the Alps was the highlight of the event for many enthusiastic visitors. Our sightseeing flights were highly sought after, even up to the late evening hours. Many young visitors discovered the passion for helicopter flying and subsequently collected first-hand information about our training offers at our booth in the exhibition area. Here, professional pilot Fabian Kurz, also a previous Heli Transair student pilot, answered questions about our business services. We also took advantage of the many opportunities to exchange ideas with peers and returned to Egelsbach with many new impressions. We are already looking forward to next year!
